Safety First.

At The Slice, safety & fun is our top priority. Please read and follow our guidelines to ensure an enjoyable and secure experience for everyone. We strive to operate a venue rooted in respect, safety, and good times!

General Guidelines


1. Age Requirements
  • The Slice is an all-ages venue, though our activities and atmosphere are generally geared toward older kids, teens, and adults.

  • We recommend ages 10+ for axe throwing, but parents know their children best.

  • Guests 16+ may throw without supervision if a parent or guardian has completed a waiver and added them beforehand.

  • Guests 13+ may use the games floor without parental supervision. No waiver required.

 
2. Waivers
  • All axe throwing participants must complete a digital waiver before entering the throwing area. Waivers remain valid until the end of the current calendar year.

  • Parents or guardians must add minors to their waiver.

 
3. Clothing & Footwear
  • Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement. Avoid loose or dangling clothing and accessories.

 
4. Food & Beverage
  • The Slice is an unlicensed facility and does not sell alcohol.

  • Guests who appear intoxicated will not be permitted to participate in axe throwing.

  • Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Guests are responsible for cleanup. Garbage bags can be provided. Plates and cutlery are not supplied.

5. Safety Briefing
  • First-time throwers must attend a brief safety orientation with a coach.

  • Returning guests will receive a quick refresher.

  • Staff instructions must be followed at all times.

 
6. Throwing Area
  • Only one person may be in a lane at a time.

  • Remain behind the designated line until it's your turn.

  • Ensure the target area is clear before throwing.

  • No food or drinks are permitted on the throwing floor.

 
7. Throwing & Axe Handling
  • Use only approved throwing techniques demonstrated by staff.

  • No trick shots. Underhand throws are permitted only if taught by an instructor.

  • Never throw while distracted.

  • Handle all throwing tools carefully and respectfully.

  • Do not touch blade edges.

  • Do not pass axes or throwing tools between guests. Return them to the lane bin after use.

8. Conduct
  • Running, horseplay, pushing, or disruptive behavior is not permitted.

  • Guests who are intoxicated or under the influence may be asked to sit out or leave.

  • Abuse, harassment, or disrespect toward staff or other guests will result in removal.

  • Intentionally ignoring safety rules or misusing equipment will result in removal.

 
9. Supervision
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors.

  • Follow all posted signs and staff instructions.

 
10. Emergencies
  • First aid supplies are available at reception.

  • Report all accidents or injuries to staff immediately.

  • Follow staff directions during any emergency.
